Lansdown Hill, Bath
Saturday 19th May 2018, 10am - 12.30pm
Meeting Point:
The Hare & Hounds, Lansdown Road, Bath BA1 5TJ

To celebrate World Nordic Walking day, we are putting on this exciting new walk just outside Bath, led by our Bath instructor Sarah.  We have scheduled it for Saturday morning so that you can enjoy a drink or have lunch at the Hare & Hounds pub afterwards (our start/finish point).  The pub has an excellent reputation and is easy to get to from Bristol as it's not far from jct 18 of the M4.  Click here for their mouthwatering lunchtime menu.

The walking route is a delightful (mostly flat) 5.5 mile trail along the natural high plateau of Lansdown Hill, with superb views all the way.  Heading through lush hillside pastures, you will pass Beckford’s Tower, the former retreat of a novelist, before crossing playing fields to reach Bath Racecourse. The loop around the racecourse includes a visit to the toposcope viewpoint at Prospect Stile, with far-reaching views across Bath, Bristol and beyond.

So please join us for great walking, views and food all in celebration of World Nordic walking day.
