This is an exciting new walk just outside Bath, led by our Bath instructor Sarah.
The walking route is a delightful (mostly flat) 5.5 mile trail along the natural high plateau of Lansdown Hill, with superb views all the way. Heading through lush hillside pastures, you will pass Beckford’s Tower, the former retreat of a novelist, before crossing playing fields to reach Bath Racecourse. The loop around the racecourse includes a visit to the toposcope viewpoint at Prospect Stile, with far-reaching views across Bath, Bristol and beyond - see pictures from our previous walk here.
We have scheduled it for Sunday morning so that you can enjoy a drink or have lunch (optional) at the Hare & Hounds pub afterwards (our start/finish point). The pub has an excellent reputation and is easy to get to from Bristol as it's not far from jct 18 of the M4. Click here for their mouthwatering lunchtime menu.
So please join us for great walking, views and food.
