Croaley Peak
Thursday 15th March and Sunday 18th March 2018
Meeting Point:
Rose and Crown, Nympsfield GL10 3TU (around 45 mins drive from Bristol)

We are once again exploring the incredible variety and beautiful sights of the Cotswold Way with this new Nordic walk.  The popular and historic route of Cam Long Down has long barrows, an ancient hill fort and several steep (but short) climbs where you will be rewarded by compass-wide views that spread out all around you back into the heart of the Cotswolds and across the Severn Estuary into Wales

You'll enjoy easy walking conditions underfoot and this is the perfect scenic walk on any day, particularly good for those training for our Falmouth and Girona trips and the South Wales Three Peaks challenge.  Indeed from Coaley Peak on a good day you can see right across to Wales and Sugar Loaf mountain itself.

This walk is good distance for most fitness levels, just shy of 7 miles, and there will be plenty of stops along the way. We will meet by the Rose and Crown, Nympsfield, which is only a 45minute drive from Bristol and we can ask around for lift shares if you need one. As always our scenic Nordic walks are a fantastic way to get fit, meet other walkers and showcase some of the most beautiful areas close to Bristol.

The Thursday walk will be led by Vicky (well behaved dogs welcome but leads essential).

The Sunday walk will be led by Victoria Cassely (no dogs on this walk please).

Cost: Members £18, Non-members £24
