Bristol Nordic Walking Cam Long Down Walk
Sunday 31st March 10am
Meeting Point:
Nympsfield Long Barrow and picnic sight, Nympsfield, Stroud, GL11 5AU

We are once again exploring the incredible variety and beautiful sights of the Cotswold Way with this fabulous Nordic walk.  The popular and historic route of Cam Long Down has long barrows, an ancient hill fort and several steep climbs where you will be rewarded by compass-wide views that spread out all around you back into the heart of the Cotswolds and across the Severn Estuary into Wales.  Indeed from Coaley Peak on a good day you can see right across to the Black mountains and the Brecon Beacons, including our club's favourite peak - Sugar Loaf.

Miro will be leading this walk which is a short 7 miles in length.  Whilst the conditions underfoot are decent, there are some steep up and downhill sections so you will need good fitness.  The reward is a near-perfect scenic walk.

As ever, it is an opportunity to meet other walkers and enjoy some of the most beautiful areas close to Bristol.
