Beginners Nordic Walking Workshop Bath

Meeting Point:
Royal Pavilion Cafe, Royal Victoria Park BA1 2NR
We're so pleased you're looking to improve your fitness, get motivated and learn how to Nordic walk.

Before you can join any of our Nordic walks or courses you need to learn the Nordic walking technique at one of our Beginner Workshops. You will only need to attend one Beginner Workshop and each group has maximum group of 6 people. In your Workshop we will find the correct poles for your height, cover basic Nordic Walking technique and chat about future walking and what is right for you.

Each Workshop takes around 75 minutes (although you won’t be walking all this time) and costs £15. We always supply poles for free.

Please dress for the weather. Jeans are not advised. Waterproof flexible walking shoes are the best footwear but if you don’t have any that’s ok, just wear whatever you have with a good tread.  If the weather looks wet please bring waterproofs. Please wrap up and wear gloves, hat and scarf when it’s cold. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water are a good idea when it's hot and wear a couple of thin layers you can easily remove if necessary.

Most fitness levels are welcome but you must be able to walk unaided and swing your arms freely. The workshop isn't weather dependant except we don’t walk in a storm and the class will be cancelled.
