Bath skyline walk
Date:
Sunday 26th August 2018 10am - 1pm

The Bath skyline walk is six miles of way-marked footpaths high above Bath in a beautiful rural setting and is the most downloaded walk on the National Trust website.  Discover secluded valleys, pretty meadows and ancient woodlands, interspersed with extensive views over Bath and out towards the Blackdown Hills.

On this walk you'll see a new perspective of Bath, such as the archaeological sites of interest along the way including Roman settlements, eighteenth-century follies and the Iron Age fort on Little Solsbury Hill. The contrast of the city, so close to this rural haven, enhances the sense of tranquility and the softness of nature’s forms, that unfurl into Bath like green fingers holding a golden stone prize, a special combination that has earned the city and its countryside setting World Heritage Site status.

Sarah, our Bath instructor, will be leading this walk.  The terrain is varied and includes meadows, woods, surfaced paths, a rocky uneven section and a some steep hills. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this 3 hour walk.

No dogs please.

Cost: Members £18, Non members £24
