Please join us for another fascinating behind the scenes tour in Bristol, this time by coach around the impressive Royal Portbury and Avonmouth Docks. The current deepwater dock was constructed between 1972 and 1977 and is now a major port for the import of motor vehicles into the UK, but this historic remarkable facility dates back to 1870 and has long been a vital connection between England and the world.

Our tour guide will be Bristol Port Company and you'll learn the history of the area, right back to Roman times. You'll see bulk and jet fuel terminals, wind turbines and did you know that the docks have its own police force, chaplain and rail link?

This informative tour promises to be full of unusual landscapes and structures, a rare chance to see into what makes Bristol tick! Vicky has previously taken this tour and says it's absolutely fascinating!

Price: £20 which covers the hire of the minibus and a donation to the Bristol Port Charity Quartet Community Foundation.

Vicky will meet you at 1:45pm at the coach with the tour starting at 2:00pm.
